Four technologies doing four different jobs.
Reverse Osmosis
Filters to one ten thousandth of a micron and removes roughly 98.5 percent of known contaminants including heavy metals like lead, and dissolved salts. On the W9, countertop, high volume and ice units, several with an alkaline pH boost after the membrane.
Ultrafiltration (UF)
A four stage alternative to reverse osmosis, used on the W5 where warehouse and factory floors need volume and durability more than they need dissolved solids removed.
LED UV
Sits inside the tank and keeps it sanitised between uses, neutralising bacterial DNA without altering water chemistry the way ozone or chemical treatment would.
Antimicrobial surfaces
Silver ion is blended into the housing and the parts the water touches rather than applied as a coating that wears off, so protection does not degrade with cleaning.
Five stages between the city main and the cup.
Water can leave the treatment plant clean and still travel through a hundred years of old pipe before it reaches your building. Every Metro Pure system runs the same stack, on drinking water and in front of every ice machine.
10-micron sediment filter
Catches dirt, sand, grit, rust and pipe corrosion picked up between the treatment plant and your building. For scale, a human hair is 50 to 75 microns.
Pre-carbon filter
Strips organic contaminants, chlorine and chloramines, the compounds that make tap water taste like a pool.
Reverse osmosis membrane
Filters to one ten-thousandth of a micron, removing about 98.5% of known contaminants including heavy metals like lead, and dissolved salts. The same process used to make seawater potable.
Mineral filter
Optional stage that raises pH and restores the minerals that make water taste like water rather than nothing at all.
Post-carbon polish filter
Coconut shell carbon catches any remaining taste or odor on the way to the tap.
A human hair is 50 to 75 microns.
A typical competitor hangs one 25 micron sediment cartridge on the back of an ice machine and calls the water filtered. At 25 microns you can still see the particles. Reverse osmosis works at one ten thousandth of a micron.
We put all five stages in front of drinking water and ice machines alike.

Independent bodies test and list the equipment we install, and our technicians carry their own certification. It is the difference between a manufacturer saying a system is safe and somebody else confirming it.

OSHA 10
Technician safety certification
Technicians are OSHA 10 or MEWP Scissor/Boom Lift Type 3 Group A and B certified by an authorised third party, in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and 1910 and ANSI A92.24. Certification coverage varies by model, so ask which listings apply to the equipment quoted for your building.
